7 Hills
7Hills provides a safe space for people from all walks of life and uses skateboarding as a tool to defeat gender, racial, religious or cultural inequalities. On the opening night of Smörgåsboard Skate Film Festival the 7Hills team will present two films:
The European premiere of “7Hills the film”, a political skate film that unveils the circumstances surrounding various groups of refugees and how they ended up in Amman, Jordan. It tells the story of the human connection skateboarding can provide to those people who have lost everything. Directed by Jesse Locke
“7Faces” by Yannick Wijgman, an 8mm film made with the aim to document the happiness that skateboarding brings to the kids in the 7Hills Skatepark.
Present during the screening: Mohammed Zakaria, Kas Wauters from Team 7Hills and Yannick Wijgman. You will find them in the 7Hills booth after the screening where you can get yourself some merchandise to support the initiative.
